Yeah, Dealxtreme even has cheap complete replacement shells for a GBC - might as well have it looking brand new if you're gonna take the shell off. I didn't want to wait for an order to arrive, so I took an Allen/Hex-head screwdriver bit and gouged 3 notches in it using precision knife serration sharpening files. It worked great.
