I think some games that were even in the middle of the PS2's lifespan still aged pretty well. I think Way of the Samurai was one of them, Final Fantasy X still looks fantastic to me, and series like MGS and ZOE all hold up in my opinion.
I can go on and on, because the PS2 is my favorite console.

My PS2 still works and I have ton of Awesome games to play with. They could still release Resident Evil: darkside chronicles, umbrella chronicles, House of dead over kill to the ps2.

I THINK THE PS2 HAS DAMN AWESOME GRAPHICS FOR A 10 YEAR OLD SYSTEM.
I always thought the system came in late 2001 or early 2002, by I passed by Timesplitters which was released in October 2000 for ps2. And I was like thats not right, but ps2 was out at that time(a year after DC? Wow, Sega really shot themselves) and i think the graphcis are quite amazing for a 10 year old system,10 years!!
I still can't believe it...

I can agree with that statement, but I still think Shenmue looks awesome. It was quite funny when the PS3 was just launching and God of War 2 had just come out, man did that game put pretty much the entire launch lineup of the PS3 to shame.

Re: PS2 graphics
I love PS2 era graphics. The current gen is starting to dip down into the uncanny valley, so despite more detailed and realistic graphics, they are starting to feel more unreal. Plus, there is too much grey and brown in modern games and not enough color.

Tekken series
God of War series
Gran Turismo series
Soul Calibur III
Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution
Sly Cooper and the Thievious Raccoonous

Shadow of the Colossus was beautiful on the PS2.

Wait, weren't you the guy who just recently made a thread complaining about how bad gamecube and xbox graphics were? http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... =2&t=17141kingmohd84 wrote:Okay,

Yes, it was me. But here is the difference in the posts:
1)The thread you are talking about, I used to believe that last gen. graphics are just as good as current gen graphics. If you dig older posts, you will find me saying that I can't see the difference. Plus that post , was talking about one particular game(NFS:Most Wanted), maybe this game didn't have great graphics in the first place unlike RE4
2)Factor in the 10 year difference, I think its absolutely amazing that the same hardware specs. can pull graphics like God of War and Tekken. Its Ten years! I don't think I even had broad band back in that time. I quote myself.
If you want your Jaw drops, compare the difference between ps3 vs ps2. Then compare ps2 vs say what was new in the 1990s? PS2 vs Turbo graphics/Neo-Geo/Snes/Genesis?
Maybe now you understand how I feel.
As for the launch, we don't get launch and advertisement here+from 1998 up until like 2006 I almost stopped gaming full stop with no idea what is going on.
I am really more impressed with the hardware over specific game's graphics. I mean the same hardware that was good back in 2000, can pull some really beautiful graphics NOW. No one is impressed other than me?
