Yup, I have a workbook tab for actual systems I own, then games separated on tabs by system. On each workbook I put title, country (to keep imports with domestic), cart/box/book/complete, a notes column for version variations or damage, and a genre column.shallowgamer wrote:I do excel as well, but I don't track prices because it will just depress me. One thing I do differently is I keep each system in a different workbook tab. Columns I use are for whether I have the manual, box, and misc. notes.

Re: Weekend Warrior's Video Game Collection
Youd be surprised how easily that is accomplished if you have access to pictures, Excel, and downtime at work.
I cataloged my dvd collection that way two years ago, I just havent gotten around to doing it for my games or books.

Re: Weekend Warrior's Video Game Collection
Well, I don't have pictures on there. I haven't gotten that bad yet. It did take a while to do this with my games, as it did with my music at first. But once done, it only takes a minute to add something in new. My collection is a pretty decent size, but some of it lives in boxes if I haven't been playing that console recently. Sometimes you forget if you picked up or sold something and looking down a list if better than digging through boxes. And hey, it gives me an outlet for my light compulsive tendencies.

So what's it like? I've always been curious what this and 3D World Runner look like compared the Sega Master System 3D glass games... any insight?Weekend_Warrior wrote:lete)

Bah. The "3D effect" really isn't there, at least not with these cheap glasses. You may look ultra-cool wearing them, but unfortunately the game is much more playable and enjoyable without them.

Having played World Runner back in the day with the glasses, I concur. Glasses were on 5 minutes at most, then back to normal vision.Weekend_Warrior wrote:Bah. Hey we do get out! To buy more games! No, really its super easy to manage your games in excel. I don't do genre, rating, condition, but recently added completed or viewed. It helps me manage my games, anime, movies and music including backups and its now in the thousands and impossible for me to remember if I already have something without looking first. Also when someone borrows something his names goes on the list, but I stopped lending things a few years ago. You already did the work copy paste your post to excel!Weekend_Warrior wrote:Jeez, what a nerd. Re: Weekend Warrior's Video Game Collection
Ok guys. I finally found the "sort" button in Word and have since re-organized my list on the first page in alphabetical order. Hope this makes it a little easier to read for y'all
Thanks to those who have shown interest in my collection. I'll post some pics in the very near future. I have a few things that I'd like to show off
