:roll:

Why would they? It's a legitimate Japanese phrase that you saw on a Japanese system playing a Japanese game.

Do American or British game designers take into account colloquial Chinese (the most popularly spoken language in the world) when thinking of save file names?

Fuku = Happy
Bukuro = Bag

Happy bag. My wife buys these sometimes. They have pretty cool stuff sometimes. Even game shops sell them. Buy a Super Famicom Fukubukuro and see what's inside!!!

It's pronounced "Hoo-koo Boo-koo-row". It doesn't sound anything like what you were thinking.

BTW, that save file is from Christmas NiGHTS.
Well, since the English speaking world is a pretty big market for these systems and games you'd think they give some thought to localiztion.

Welcome to the Sega Saturn, yo!

All your base are belong to us.

On that note, perhaps the OP forgot that NiGHTS, and a few hundred other Saturn games were localized for the English market; the Genesis version of Zero Wing not counting.

Okay, let me be a little more specific. You'd have thought they would have localized the games BETTER than they sometimes did.
