I don't know, man. A friend didn't mod his Xbox, and he died of the Black Lung.
 , I am always reminded of my years growing up in West Virginia when I hear about Black Lung. God I miss those mountains. I would trade this disgusting Florida heat and sand any day. Don't let those movies fool you.

You know that Xbox controller cables are USB ? Just open one up and wire a usb femal jack to the controller cable.
USB----Xbox
Red----Red
Green----Green
Black-----Black
White----white
----Yellow
Do not connect yellow to anything. Then you can use a thumb drive and action replay software!

You don't need an action replay to softmod an xbox. I managed to do it myself with a homemade xbox to USB converter like DNT mentioned above. Just get the action replay software online, (I'm pretty sure there's a version available for free somewhere online). Install the software, then plug the xbox pad into a USB socket on your PC. Your system will install the drivers from the AR software and it will allow you to access your memory card, transfer the softmod kit (downloaded from irc/torrent whatever) save files to your memory card and pop your chosen exploit game disc into the xbox. Robert's your mother's brother.

From finding out I could softmod my Xbox to completion of the mod it took me about an hour. That's including the adaptor I made. It's not hard to do with no prior knowledge or an Action Replay. After all, I managed it...

Something tells me my above post will either be completely ignored or the OP will get stuck at reading the first line...

Good luck, he hasn't been on the site for nearly a year. But if you like, I could give you his personal information.
