Well, that's part of the reason I went with the one with the track ball. That, and Golden Tee 3D. It's still a great value, regardless.skyknight wrote:I did read the review on IGN.com on the X-Arcade, which the reviewer criticized the spacing between the two bottom layouts, as he pointed out that a fellow player was able to rub his elbow against him while they were playing fighting games.
Any room to breath when two are playing on the X-Arcade? I wouldn't want to spend extra for the track ball edition just have some more room.

Love my Madcatz Tournament Edition stick. If you are a fan of japanese style controls there is no beating it.
Don't know whats up with the American style stick when it comes to home consoles. I bet the X-Arcade isn't bad at all, and bet the parts would be easy to upgrade if it bothered you. All of my arcade machines have Happ "Universals" which can be set up as 4 or 8 way but have the "bat" style stick. My Street Fighter 15th Anniversary stick was easy to upgrade to Happ parts, but they are spendy I think. You'd have to convert it to USB somehow from PS2 as well.
The7k plays a lot of fighters, if he says X-Arcade is ok I can't imagine its trash. KOF requires some technique!

i use the Hori Real Arcade Pro 3, works damn fine to me, i just modded with by putting plugs into the last two button slots to make it a 6 button fighter
Re: Arcade fighting stick choices for PS3
It didn't want this turn into a "US vs Jpn arcade stick" thread, I actually like both American and Japanese arcade parts. The main reason I prefer Jpn style because of the button curve its so comfortable. The7k, I'm sorry about the X-Arcade talk, everyone has their own style. I got to stop listening to other people's biased opinions.

Right now I'm trying to decided between the two player stick or the one that includes the track ball. I'm a bit concerned that I wouldn't be able to get the track ball working with my MAME'd Xbox though.the7k wrote:Well, that's part of the reason I went with the one with the track ball.
