That's what I thought, but it happened to both my DS systems. When I was using the card, I could never get it to work by just turning the system on. I had to turn my DS/DSi on with the card in, the system wouldn't recognize the card, so I would turn off the system, remove the card, blow into the cartridge slot, put the card back in, pray that the card will work, turn the system back on, repeat until the damn thing works.

Blowing in he cartridge slot of a DS is just as bad an idea as it was blowing on NES carts. The moisture in your breath might have initially made slighty better contact, but it ends up corroding the connector. Sounds like the connector was just getting dirty.

Sounds like you killed the systems by mishandling then. The manuals say not to blow into the system/cartridges for a reason.

I've had a few times where my DSTT hasn't worked , generally just after taking the micro SD out to add roms. I just take it out and reseat it and it works.

Try and get the DSi repaired under warranty but they might not fix it for free if it's due to mishandling. The DS lite will have to be taken apart and repaired by using a little rubbing alcohol on the contacts to get any corrosion off and see if that works.

Have you tried a regular DS game (non-flash car) to see if it works? As others said, I think you have a bad connection somewhere but I'm surprised that the DSi is not working since it's fairly new.

What would be the best choice for a DSi based on what's available at dealextreme: R4i, DSTTi, M3i and AK2i? All of them have save state?

Get one with at least 2MB of RAM so you can play Quake II in it!

This is for DSL Only not DSi

I'm fucking LOVING my CycloDS! no doubt that its worth the money, its so easy to use, no patching of homebrew or roms at all, i just drag and drop, and it has great compatibility! the only game i cant get to run is Mario & Luigi: Bowsers Inside story

but i vouch for the CycloDS!

Acekard 2i seems like a sure winner, only worry is the bad experience lisalover had with them.

The fact is DS Lite flash cards are so cheap these days that the Cyclo DS is too expensive to be considered anymore, not trying to offend anyone, but I have not seen any particular feature or better anything compared to the lower priced cards. Maybe if they release a DSi compatible model then the current price would be justified. It should be priced lower around what the supercard dsone sells for. I can recommend the supercard because I had one, they have better build quality and menus than the DSTT cards.

I would not recommend an AK2i. The problem is that the contacts are very short, and can't adequately reach the slot contacts. Thus, you constantly have to reinsert the card to get it to work.
