Having both, everyone is pretty much right on the money.
Model 1's aren't that hard to fix, not if you like doing that kind of thing at least.
Model 2 for gaming, Model 1 for....just super sexyness.

pretty much if what everyone has been saying... if you have money and technical know how get a model 1. If you arent looking for an adventure get a model 2. Actually, my main consideration would be is your genesis a model 1 or model 2. I really dislike model 1 Genesis with Model 2 SCD. It just doesnt flow right for me.
