the first one I owned was DooM Shareware however on floppy

I distinctly remember being in HMV in town and they had DooM shareware on their screens - I remember being absolutely amazed by the graphics eheh

Thats exactly how it was for me too lol. It's like when I played duke nukem too when in the second level I was scared every time I sprinted through the porno shop's black hallway. And the boss of the first level in shareware Diablo. That guy scared me shitless. I was like 7 or 8 mind you.

yeah the butcher was scary and he pretty much kicked my ass the first time i encountered him since i panicked when i heard him say "ahh fresh meat"
