Very nice ... do you have a backloggery or a link to pics so I can zoom in and see what games you have?

Wrongful Termination is being Fired for something, that you didn't do. Plus I was suing for endangerment.

I was temp. store manager at a Gamestop location. The place was held up while I was on duty. An armed robber made me and a co-worker open the registers, put in the safe combination, then tied us up. The District Manager not wanting to look bad for the loss fired me a week after it happened and blamed the matter on my negligence. I got a lawyer, Gamestop got scared and settled out of court for $80,000. The DM got fired after that.

I should work again but I am having too much fun playing games, music, and being at this site. Maybe I will start looking soon.

I think I heard you say this somewhere else, but still man I'm glad no one was hurt!
I don't blame you for taking time off.... maybe you could invest some of that money for later?

BTW I'm thoroughly jealous at your Sega CD games, neo geo stuff and your space harrier 32x game :-P Otherwise enjoy the time off!

Yeah, if you just spend all the money, you're gonna regret it in the future, for sure...

I think i might have got wrongful termination, and of course im not the only one when it came to working at one of the Play n Trade in Raleigh.

Basicly, i worked at a PnT in one of the stores around the Raleigh area, and i was there a total of 3 weeks. Apperently i was let go due to "all of the managers" didnt think i was doing a good job and all agreed that i should be let go (which I found out that one of the managers didnt know i was fired till a week later). I got to talk to the owner of the franchise and basicly spoke my peace about it, and he made it sound like the job wasnt for me. The only complaint i had was i wasnt used to the system as fast as they wanted me too, and the fact that the owner was like "well this job isnt for you". Heres what i did when i worked there:

1. ran a register
2. talked to people
3. cleaned games

Thats it, and none of that was "overly difficult". Now get this, I find out the next day, behind my back, the owner hires some attractive girl to work there, A GIRL, who didnt know the difference between an Xbox or a PS2 controller (my friend called me up and told me this, and of course i was pissed about it). And she is still there today (but i heard she got better at her job, to say the least).

And im not the only person to come and go at that store, ive heard many have been employed under this person and are let go within their 90 day period. For me, its something that happend over a year ago and in a since, im glad i was let go. And for me the job felt to good to be true, but i loved every minute i was there.

Dude, if I had that settlement money, i would seriously open my own game store/PnT, and make more money...

Nice game room! I'm digging the Virtual Boy and Neo-Geo Pocket. Does the Neo-Geo pocket have many good games?

I really like the shelving that you've used, and the two T.V. setup is nice as well. I plan on doing something similar once I get the space for it. You, sir, have inspired me!

Also, sorry to hear what happened with your job. That sounds like a traumatic experience, and its just nice that you had some sort of compensation for it all.

Just to clear things up for everybody who's wondering whether they were wrongfully terminated--wrongful termination is when your employer fires you on account of your race, creed, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or some other ground that would be contrary to public policy (eg: your employer fires you because you refused to do something illegal or reported that the company did something illegal).

This was definitely a bone-headed move on the DM's part, but I'm glad it worked out for our friend. Essentially, Gamestop fired our friend because he did what he was supposed to do (it's good public policy to just hand over the money and not risk getting shot).

Anyway, this is an excellent game collection. I'm impressed with how complete this collection looks. Judging from the number of games you have for each console, I'm guessing you have all the games that matter for each console.

I got like $72,000, 10% lawyer fees. I don't get the money all at once I get a monthly check over a period of 2 years. I could get it payed off in full but it would take a big chunck of the money away. Plus I think I would spend it to quick. Thanks for the compliments guys. If you want to see detail pics of my collection I have it here

viewtopic.php?f=28&t=14763

I will have to update though because I have gotten like a hundred more games since posted, and a PC-fX which I am very proud of.

I am not really wasting money because I use the money I would have paid for gas going to work plus one of my cars is paid off finally. You can save a lot of money not driving to work. I save around $250 a month on gas. Plus I dont eat out as much when at home so add that to the savings.

PC-FX? Awesome. Did you get the rare/expensive/excellent Zenki game for it too?

I know it's none of my business how you choose to use your money but are you investing some of it? The economy still hasn't recovered yet, so if you invest in some things now, you have a decent chance of making money later when things improve. You might want to consider something like Dollar Cost Averaging for mutual funds.
