Dreamcast broadband with an old Airport Extreme?

Even if you're only getting 56k speeds you can at least get it hooked up. It's harder and harder to get a phone modem going these days.

Not to mention, depending on your plan, the price.

From what I can tell, it may not work. The internal modem port seems to be for incoming signals only.

Yes, the incoming 56k port is for dialling out and communication, it doesn't work the other way. It's not like a PC where you can use a PC's internal modem (or a usb modem if you swing that way) as a communication port and simulate a dialling service on your PC. The airport doesn't have that ability.

Unfortunately for those of us who can't afford the very few remaining broadband adaptors out there the only way to get the DC online is by using the PC with a modem method. Think yourself lucky NA you got a DC with a 56k modem, we only got a crappy 33.6k modem!

Probably not. I don't see why anyone would have created it. By all means search but I think you are going down a dead end. Getting a PC dial up modem is probably far cheaper and less hassle in the long run since there are guides out there for connecting a DC up to a dial up modem and bridging the network virtually.
