Full potential.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Agreed, but I like the outcome game for the Dreamcast... now if they would only make Shenmue 3 :(
Wasn't Shenmue supposed to be 16 parts originally?

Yep, the first Shenmue game was one chapter by itself. Shenmue II spanned three chapters... so they made it 1/3 of the way to the end.

No, I agree with you. I just wondered if you have played any imports, as I have not, and heard that the import are much better than what we got in the States.

Ah I see.

Anyway, I feel that the Saturn and 3DO would be the consoles that never realized their full potential. I would say 32x did in fact as Metal Head seems to pretty much be all it could handle.

This is a little off topic..but thinking about stretching hardware to it's limit had me thinking about this game on my Dingoo, 7 Days.

I know it doesn't look amazing but consider that this is running on a machine with very little memory and NO 3D hardware acceleration. I used tv out and played it on the 37" LCD the other night and it really looked nearly as good as anything I ever played on PS1. I don't know about the game itself being any good, but from a technical standpoint I think it is impressive.

Saturn, I think. We've all seen the Shenmue that could have been, right? It's crazay!

But Dreamcast as well.

I would have been surprised to see anything more polished than Soul Calibur come out of the Dreamcast though. It was almost as if it had launched living up to it's potential. For a "failed" console the Dreamcast has a huge selection of great games and a nice selection of technically impressive games as well.

For me, pretty much any Sega System after the Genesis.
Yeah, same here and would also add 3DO to the list. I still need to get a 3DO.

3DO, 32X, Saturn, Dreamcast and PS3 (so far.) Out of all of them, I think if a modern dev team set out to make a new Saturn game they would be able to make something that was leaps and bounds better than anything we saw on the system.
