What about the exact opposite? Deus Ex was a deep and complex game that was ruined by a sequel that tried as hard as it could to be LCD.

Tomb Raider is what I consider a nearly perfect game. Great controls, great storyline, great environments, good puzzles. Tomb Raider II was pretty much more of the same but not quite. A few extra moves were added that weren't really that imporant but they didn't really distract from the experience either. What went wrong with II and all subsequent PS1 sequels was that the storylines got really far away from the whole point of the character. I didn't really want the character to be a secret agent, but a, well, tomb raider.

The rehash games on PS2 (Revelations, Anniversary) were pretty good (better than AoD!) and a return to the original style storylines, but why oh why did they feel the need to add in a huge number of new moves that are not only available to the player but REQUIRED to be mastered to complete the game? I'd like to decide for myself what moves are necessary to defeat an enemy, to bring my OWN style to the process.

Brutal, Night Trap, BC Racers, Blackthorn and RBI
Not too many rare ones left to get, I really am into that T-mek game and do you think Spiderman was worth the price 60.00+ S/h?

Halo ... how could we miss Halo. I live and breath that game but Halo 2 came along and what the f*ck is this ... then 3 was at least better then 2 but totally missed the simplicity of the first ...

Also, Rainbow Six Lockdown. What a piece of unbalanced crap. Own Vegas but still have a sour taste of Lockdown in my mouth I haven't tried. But my friend showed me a very buggy level where he threw two granades and they guys not only didn't die but didn't even move ...
