I've had good luck with Ebay. Only 2 issues out of 70 plus transactions. The first issue was that I bought Mario Party 3 (n64) but received Mario Party 1. It was a stock photo and it was some grandmother from FL who didn't know better. I can understand why people not in the know would make the mistake because the dice block on the box/cart shows the number 3. I had gotten it for a really good deal for MP3 but slight overpaid for MP1. So I didn't bother pursuing it with the seller.
The second issue was a defective Dreamcast VGA box. The seller refused to exchange it for a good one so I opened a PayPal claim. A week later, PayPal ruled in my favor and refunded all of my money back (including shipping).
On the positive side, I sold some of my kids Thomas the Tank Engine trains (7 of them) for ~$250 total. I was ready to put the whole lot (20+ trains, tracks, and table) on Craigslist for $100 and decided to check if any were valuable. I was pleasantly surprised at the return. I still plan to sell the rest on CL since they are not worth much.
