Yeah, I was given the movie on DVD for Christmas back when it came out. I watched it once, but was overall disappointed. It seemed like it was pretty much a collection of "greatest hits," so it was only funny if you find referenced to previous episodes funny. But maybe I'm not giving it a fair shot.
Ditto on the Conan O'Brien stuff, though. And on seasons 1 and 2 not being so great.
I don't care much for the newer episodes, but there was one terrific episode a few seasons back that I always feel obligated to mention when discussions of how the show isn't so good anymore come up. In that episode, Principal Skinner makes some comments deemed sexist, and the school is split by gender, with half for the boys and half for the girls. Skinner gets demoted to working for Groundskeeper Willy. If you have a chance to see it, check it out. It's an example of a later episode where they actually got it right, and I'd put it among my favorite all-time episodes.

I catch the Simpsons occasionally, and do enjoy myself. Admittedly, the new episodes are lacking, but after 20 seasons straight, what do you expect? I'm never really dissapointed, except the last treehouse of horror, that was an upset.

Re: the simpsons (tv show)
I love the simpsons. I don't get why people complain about newer episodes lacking in quality. They seam as funny to me as the ones from the 90s.
Then again, on the internet, if some people start bashing or praising something, usually it becomes a trend.
I don't follow tv or movies reviews that much, but I do follow video game reviews, and I have to say, most reviewers do a lousy job. they job say what most people are saying about a game.
I mean come on, if it's a huge console exclusive, they don't dare bash it, even for it's eye poking flaws.
and likewise, if a game gets bad reviews from known sources (edge, eurogamer, ign, gamespot, blah blah blah) they give it a bad review, even if they kind of liked the game.
So, I love the simpsons.
also I like Futurama even more.
never liked family guy though, I always found it's humor a bit insulting in many ways. Also it's mostly cheap laughs. South Park made an excellent parody of their constant use of incoherent scenes. it's like putting together a bunch of youtube videos, staring the same guy
