Well. For me, the condition is the most important thing for my collection, so I usually don't play my AES games. but I own a Neo-geo MVS cabinet, so whenever I want to play the NEO GEO games, I just play with my arcade cabinet with MVS carts.
And I also love playing games on newer machines too.

Congrats. That takes a lot of dedication. I'm not disciplined enough to collect for one system!!

I remember when Last hope was announced- on top of the game price, you had to ship an unwanted cartridge to him, I'm assuming for the casing.
