selling off parts of the collection

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Plus it's an investment. Do you know how much my complete Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (GEN) is worth now? And I have two!
If you have two, how come you didn't sell one of em? It may be too late now since the excitement has died down.

I actually had tickets to MJ's concert, for the 22nd July, got a refund though so all was good.

I haven't played Moonwalker in years.

I see the systems as an investment, but we are hoping to move out of the UK as the country is a joke, going to somewhere decent, NZ is the plan. So will be selling them all off before I go anyway.

I know it has but that just proves how much of an investment gaming is. I would say about 95% of my collection was purchased for under $10 a game. From $0.01 for Atari games on up to $9.99 and my local gaming store. And all my CD based games are complete in tip top shape. I only collect the best. And I can't wait to pass it one to my daughter and so on.

Not to put down the OP but I just can't fathom selling. Dups are an investment too. Click my backloggery and just imagine how much my collection might be worth for just games alone.

My best friend's dad was a collector and got me into it. I remember him bringing home the Atari 7800 one day, my friend called and we watched in amazement as he set it up next to the 5200 and the Coleco. He was also the first person I ever knew that pirated games - I remember him coming home with copied 5.25 floppies and photocopies of the manuals. Unfortunately he passed away when I was in 10th grade with a brain tumor. My friend never really played games again, I think he associated his father with them and it made him sad. I continued to play and collect like him in honor of him (and partiality since I had no father figure in my life at that time, I thought highly of him.)

I'm glad I started to recollect again. I make sure I buy games that will be for me, my sons, and all of us together.

Sorry to change the topic slightly, but it does relate. With another son on the way I have enough games to fill the little free time I have and will only keep a few for me and ones we all can play together at some time - Zombies Ate My Neighbors!
