Just as an FYI, Cammy has no tools to deal with a crouch blocker. She can chip with specials but the Hooligan Combination can't throw a croucher.

Was that with any formal education, family members/real life friends to suppliment that experience? It's amazing that you could pick up a language through text. Up till now I'm still tackling Japanese after 4 years in university+1 year studying abroad in Japan, and +2 more years living and working here. You must pick up languages quick.

It wasn't 100% through text on PSO. I also watch raw anime (I hate subs because they are distracting and slow down my improvement) and I can understand at least 90% of it. Learning Japanese in school sucks imo. I don't recommend it. Basically I learned Japanese the same way I learned English as a baby.

After the 2 years of PSOBB, I moved onto the sequel Phantasy Star Universe and played that for 3 years. So all in all it's 5 years of experience of talking with Japanese people through text. If I come across Japanese players in SF4, it will be interesting to talk to them with the headset. Despite knowing Japanese well, I have almost no speaking experience with it.

tl;dr
When it comes to learning languages, video games > school

That's when the real learning starts. Reading and listening are the easy part,(lol easy, the two languages have nothing in common) being able to have a real meaningful conversation is the biggest hurdle for all Japanese learners like ourselves. Good luck!

おう!俺もそう思うんだ。実はたった今PS3の日本版をEbayから買った。後でPC板も買おうと思ってるけど全く見つかれなくてどうするか分からない。まぁ、またHashiriyaさんに頼んで見るか (^_^)b
