As Ack mentioned, I don't recall any of us saying this wasn't illegal. Just like when I don't wait for the light to cycle when I walk to work if there's no traffic. There are a lot of things you can do that are illegal, but if no one is going to follow up on it then it doesn't really matter.

Copyright is copyright. Released or not.

It doesn't matter if it's "actively pursued" or not. It doesn't matter if it was released or not. It doesn't matter if the company that made it is still in business or not. Copyright is a very black and white thing.

Don't be fooled into confusing it with either distribution rights nor patents. They are not the same thing, despite what ignorant, internet going folks will tell you.

If people don't care and continue to partake, I can't stop them. But they shouldn't try to justify it as something other than copyright infringement. They should at least have the integrity to admit when it's breaking the law (regardless of "moral stance", or any other hand-waving fluff that won't stop people getting fined out the whazoo should Nintendo change their mind about active pursuit of such things).
How can you use "integrity" and then "regardless of moral stance" in the same context?!

Why would you really want to stop them, anyway? Lawful Good, maybe?

As Ack and Mr Popo said, there's no "confusion" over what is legal or illegal.

To get back on topic, can you do an English FFV or Secret of Mana 2/Seiken Densetsu 3 cart?

It'd be cheaper and easier to get an SNES flash cart and put roms on it yourself. $80 is a rip-off.

I only know of one SNES flash card, and it's quite expensive... are there more?

I'd like to add the fact that I would buy these games given the opportunity. Had Nintendo actually released these games (back in the day on the SNES or today on VC), I would buy Starfox 2, BS Zelda, etc. in a heartbeat if Nintendo would give me the opportunity to give them money. Nintendo has shown that even though they have these games ready for release, they do not want to profit from it, or just don't want to deal with it. So if someone is allowing me to play these games on my SNES with professionally done reproductions, then more power to them. That being said, the prices are high. :?

Tancred, be that as it may, I would still like a standalone English translated version of FFV. Mana2 I can live without or may just get a flashcart - Though the only one I know of that is readily available is the tototek one, at $95...
