Then you'll probably be interested in Mechwarrior Living Legends for Crysis. I've been anticipating this one as well, as it's more Battlefield-style with infantry, vehicles, aerofighters, and mechs. And these guys have an official non-commercial license with Microsoft (who still own the Battletech IP) so there's not a danger of random lawyers shutting them down. There's supposed to be a release before the year is up.Ack wrote:Meh, should have kneecapped him, gone for the missile barrage, and then jump-jetted out of there.
Seriously though, awesome. Though I suppose I'd also like to see mods made like in the older games so I can play infantry. You have no idea what a rush it is to drop one of those suckers while you're a little guy on the ground who dies in one hit.

In honor of BattleTech's 25th anniversary, Smith & Tinker has authorized MekTek.net and MekTek Studios to distribute MechWarrior 4 (along with its expansion packs) completely free. For years, MekTek.net has been the central point for online distribution of MechWarrior 4 expansion packs. Now they can provide the core game free to the fans as well. Keep an eye on BattleTech.com – the free download will be available soon!

Re: PC Fans Rejoice!
I played Mech Commander 2, and liked it for a few hours, but the missions got too repetitive and too hard. Never played a true MechWarrior game
