I'm very impressed with this game. I'm not too far but I'm loving it. The atmosphere is creepy and well done. I jumped on the inside during a certain part haha. This is definitely worth downloading. Keep up the great work man.

Hi all! Thanks for the wonderful feedback. I knew you guys would love the game!

Now, I'll give some responses:

1. I programmed the game using the Ruby language, a module known as "RGSS2" no less. Actually, I used RPG Maker VX, the same engine which made Aveyond and Eternal Eden, but as the engine makes RPGs, not horror games, I had to do a fair bit of scripting (RMVX uses Ruby) to get all my game's mechanics working. I chose to use RMVX as a base because I enjoy being able to easily map and do graphics and puzzle processing via events.

2. If you wish to see more of my work, you can either visit http://www.bluesophia.net which is my forum where I showcase my work and host other's works, or visit another forum where my games can be found http://www.rpgrevolution.com. In the forums of the latter site, one can find a Team Gaia sub forum containing all my games.

Awesome thanks! I have one more question though, what do you mean by scripting? do you mean that you had to write some additional code into rpg maker to get your game to work correctly or do you mean the game mechanics just took some careful planning so as to take advantage of what rpg maker is capable of doing?

Nope, I mean scripting as in coding my own, new features into RPG Maker and also editing/overwriting default and built in ones. RPG Makers XP and VX allow this to be done using Ruby.

Using RPG Maker's default capabilities, it isn't actually possible to make a game liek The Beyond.
