I am gonna have to agree my friend, caps all the way. As soon as you say "warm-up" that tells me caps. I actually did one with bad caps one time. It worked ok but was hell to get back together. Some caps were physically different than original.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:Well after hearing that I'm guessing you have a GameGear that needs new capacitors.

Re: Sega Game Gear problems
Be sure to open up your cartridge and give it a good cleaning. I recently cleaned up all my Game Gear games with a little bit of brasso and then finished it up with a little bit of rubbing alcohol slightly watered down. I was having the same problem now all the games fire up on the first shot.

Re: Sega Game Gear problems
Brasso isn't a polish, it's a chemical designer to scrape away a layer of metal to simulate a polished surface, and actually does more longterm damage than good.
As for the Rubbing Alcohol, watering it down is just plain stupid as the water and Rubbing Alcohol creates a chemical reaction that causes corrosion and oxidation.
You should only ever use either 70% By Volume Rubbing Alcohol which can be purchased at any pharmacy, supermarket, or Wal-Mart/K-Mart/Target, etc... or use an electrical contact cleaning solution such as Deox-It which you can fund at your local Radio Shack.
