- Looney Tunes games, like Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time (also good).
I remember absolutely loving Loony Toons: Sheep Raider. That was a great game...

Yeah, people tend to forget these cartoon games. I really liked Tarzan when I had my PS1. I played it again some time ago, still holds up.

Oh, sorry dude! I thought you misread or something; glazed over the word "platforming" and thought he was referring to games in general. Sorry about the noobage there!

I discovered Napple Tale on one of Racket's Hidden Gems features for the Dreamcast; its full title is Napple Tale: Arsia in Daydream. It's a game with fully 3D graphics which plays largely like an old-school platformer: movement from point A to B mainly occurs on the X-axis with much less occurring on the Y-axis, though you do that from time to time as well. I only played it very briefly, because there was a ton of Japanese text, and I hate playing games that seem so story-heavy when I can't read them (I could've gotten a GameFAQs guide, but I didn't figure the game had the greatest story in the world... seemed like what might come out of the portion of old Saturday morning cartoons that they set aside for girls, honestly). It's a pretty good game, really. It's hard not to recommend if you're looking for platformers. I'd do my research before I bought it, though (i.e. test out a burnt copy first).

This might help, also: http://dreamcast.ign.com/articles/164/164328p1.html

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for the Playstation. Best PSX platformer EVER!
