Nights Wii sucked as a sequel to the original; that said it was a decent game in it's own right.

I'm surprised Madworld sold as poorly as it did. Thats a great game and needed better exposure, damn shame. Lost Winds is a great little game as well, it uses the Wiimote more effectively than any other Wii game I've played to date.

I hated those cutscenes, especially the training montage we were subjected to.

Does Wii Ware count? I thought that hidden gem status applies to hard copies of games that can be played, and still thoroughly enjoyed years after a console's demise.

EDIT: In any case you owe it to yourselves to try Bit. Trip. Beat. on Wii Ware if you haven't already.

A great game is a great game is it not? Its the only Wiiware game I have "I hate leasing games" but this one was great and worth your time.

What I mean is how ill someone who is reading a hidden gems list years from now going to play it? Nintendo has a bad habit of not bringing content over to new platforms, so I'm just wondering what will happen when the Wii shop goes offline.

I do believe that good gameplay trumps all though.

Most GameStop's still have plenty of new and used copies of Geometry Wars at $20 New and $18 Used so it hasn't hit a rarity streak yet.

I agree with you completely on Muramasa as pretty 2D games with excellent gameplay always seem to sell like crap in the US; minus Odin Sphere, but it got damn lucky that it did.
