Just got the game this morning for Father's Day and am loving it.
It took 2 tries to get past King Hippo. Other than that I lost once to Bear Hugger and now I am taking a break.

What control schemes is everyone using?
I am using classic style.

I've been using standard motion controls (no balance board though)
Gives me a bit of a workout (but I'm out of shape)

I have not yet tried that way, but it seems awkward and would make the game harder than the classic style. Do you think that is true?

Takes just a bit getting used to, but it's not as bad as you might think.
But Classic probably is easier/more precise

Just played it with the new controls and with the balance board. The new controls do take a little getting used to, and using them with the balance board will take a lot of getting used to. I think I am going to play each circuit with the classic, then the new controls, and then the balance board. This way I can learn the opponents moves with better control and work on getting achievements while mastering the other play styles.

Been playing with the new controls because I don't have a balance board, it takes time to remember pressing the right buttons to hit up or the special punch. Most of the time I just go left or right to escape punches.
