Planning On Getting A Wii - What Game Should I Get?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Quality games on the Wii are really limited because 80% of is shovel ware so you can't go wrong really.
Let's all just be honest. 80% of this generation is shovelware.

Anyway, Wii has some great games. I'd recommend:

Mario Galaxy
Zelda Twilight Princess
No More Heroes
Metroid Prime 3 (just wait for the 3 pack, as others have mentioned)
WarioLand Shake It
WarioWare Smooth Moves
Zack and Wiki
Resident Evil 4
MadWorld
Disaster Day of Crisis
Pikmin
Super Smash Bros.
Red Steel
Okami
Boom Blox
Klonoa
Also, you can be on the look out for The Conduit, Muramasa : Demon Blade, Trace Memory 2, WiiSports Resort, FRAGILE, Red Steel 2, JU-ON, Sin and Punishment 2, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, and Pikmin 2&3.

I plan on getting one again (had one for six months) anyway I want smash bros and mario kart and the house of the dead games. Plan on playing maybe buying no more heroes and madworld.

Okami on the Wii has widescreen, progressive scan support and can be had for less than $20.00. It looks great and I'm currently replaying it, what a game.

Dido here too lol. What really spured me back into wanting one was playing Excite Bots at a kiosk in a GameStop. If only I had the money.

Well, the Wii is a gamecube so if you don't feel like buying any Wii games then there's always backwards compatibility. Wind Waker, Resident Evil 4, Eternal Darkness, Super Mario Sunshine, Pikmin 1 and 2, all the great legacy games are still out there.

Personally, rather than buying the Wii a second time (Which I think would be the ultimate form of flip-flopping), I'd rather build a computer that can handle Wii emulation. After all, the only game I really want on the Wii at this point is TvC. I'd get Smash Bros again, as well as Punch Out and Klonoa, but they aren't system sellers for me.
