It helps to yell at your NES like a PE couch yells at a portly kid.

ohh....and shove a sock in the cart slot to hold the game down. make sure it's a used sock, preferably from a homeless guy you robbed.

I always use this method for NES games, I've never seen one that wasn't fixed after using this method.

I've always used q-tips and alkyhall to do my bidding, though I scrub the shit out of my carts, Its never failed me once.

My technique consist of scrubbing both horizontally and vertically along both sides and on every single connector.

I once used over 15 q-tips cleaning my copy of Axelay, and it STILL worked.
