ALRIGHT!!! I am the best! Just fixed the cd tray problem. There was a clip I noticed under the tray, that locks it in place by a gear when the lens goes all the way up. Problem was the whole thing was out of allignment and was wacking into this clip, unable to close. Well the tray closed and is now spinning.... but... the sound stuttering is still there! I played a CD and it stutters like in the BIOS

Is it possible the reason it's doing this is due to using a JP console on a US TV? Nahh that can't be it. Hmm can anyone think of a reason it might do this?

Playing a music cd. The stuttering happens in the bios music and the cd playback. Hmm it could be a problem with the connector, it's a bit dirty.

So a US Sega CD does work with JAP Mega Drive?
or you've already got a different setup?

No. They're both NTSC. 100% compatible.

BTW, you should pick up the Genesis from Value Village, because no games are going to work on your Sega CD if you're running it on a Mega Drive.

No no, I have a Japanese Mega Drive hooked up to a Japanese Mega CD. I did insert the MegaCD into the Genesis (yea I bought it), and it just shows a cyan screen informing you that you need a JP System, so couldn't test if it was the megadrive itself. I dunno, I am starting to assume I should just junk it, cause there doesn't seem to be any fix (lurked/posted on some other boards).

I guess I got a bit confused... So, no fix? Really? Where else did you post? DP or Assembler?

just buy my setup...works perfectly lol. I had another front loader and honestly...they are a pain to work on. The one I had wouldnt even power up....after awhile of trying I junked it...and got the one im selling now. If you ever buy another one off ebay, MAKE SURE its tested and WORKING. Also make sure they have good feedback.
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.
