I haven't been sick of any variety (besides if I forget to take my opiate pain meds) for about 3 years. No cold, no flu, nothing.
I'm sure you've heard it all before, but I honestly feel that eating/living healthy has really been my armor. I eat tons of whole grains and take at least a multivitamin daily... as well as being pretty active physically. (basketball mostly)
Before living reasonably, I got a cold a few times a year. Back then what worked best for me was drinking tons of water and loading up with ridic amounts of vitamin C. If I did this I could kill it about 2 days in, every time, without failure. May have just been placebo, but even if... always worked.
If you can pick up a box of "cold ease" I believe it is, those work wonders too. All they really are is Zinc and some other vitamins, but they work to shorten a cold for everyone I know.

I think that was a big part of my seemingly perm-a-cure too. It was like I jsut said "nah, I cant afford to get sick anymore" and I don't.
Re: I am tired of being sick
I will have frequent runny noses through the entire year, but aside from the leakage/minor blockage I haven't had any other "sick" symptoms in almost a decade. Generally it's only a problem when I sleep, since my nose clogs up and I start breathing out my mouth, leaving me with really bad dry mouth in the morning. And some really nice boogers I remove in the shower.

Oh comon, don't tell me you don't take advantage of your morning shower to blow your nose.

Re: I am tired of being sick
I've currently got the first cold I've had this year. I honestly don't think I would have gotten sick at all, but these last few weeks I'd taken a serious beating, and then last week it all just came to a head, combined with a lack of sleep and some really difficult training. I should be fine by Monday.
