Puzzle
Fighting
Platformers

I think those three would give me enough variety and cater to my tastes enough.

I played it Popo, got about halfway through it and gave up. However, recently I was informed that there is a multiplayer mode via patches so I am interested in trying it again.

RPGs - including adventure/action rpgs ala zelda, etc. i also like these because they keep me from reading books.

2D platformers - just because there are so many. endless entertainment, i'm sure.

shmups - i almost put puzzle games here, but if you think about it, shmups are kind of like puzzle games. you have to figure out a good way through shots, etc. memorization of patterns, etc. i dunno, i like 'em.

RPGs: Hours of gameplay and fun storylines. Most titles are instant-buys for me as well.

Fighting: great characters, combos lists, style, competitive play

Action/Adventure: story and characters

I only play Shmups and Fighters, with a platformer on rare occasion. I guess that's my three by default.

I'd honestly recommend against the multiplayer. There's only one or two servers, and the game itself was never designed with multiplayer in mind.

Strategy
Games like Company of Heroes, Warcraft 3, and Starcraft have a way of making me waste the entire day (in a good way). I dig the turn based ones too, but RTS is probably my favorite of the genre.

Platformers
I am a really big fan of 2D platform games, but enjoy 3D ones as well. Must be my old arcade roots.

Shmups
I recently got back into these with that DC purchase from you Flak. So many damn good shmups on that system. I desperately need another stick though, I hate playing with the D-pad.
