I love this game! It's pretty much the reason I shelled out for a Wii in the first place (normally I avoid current generation anything like the plague). I've pumped a lot of cash into the arcade, and I'm so glad when it came to home console.

Will post some scores up tonight when I get home from work.

Oh, and another quick plug of my simple-yet-useful Wii "sensor bar" hack to get the WiiMote accuracy up:

huh. I was wondering why it was so inaccurate. I'll have to try this out. I have a 56inch flat screen so the difference from where i pointed the gun to where i shot was pretty big and just something i thought i'd have to get used to.

For really wide TVs (16:9 50" and up), the feedback from people who've done the mod is to not put the sensors on the very edge of the TV. Placing them around 1/4 to 1/3 in from the edge seems to have gained the best results from the dozen or so people who I've spoken to via email or on other forums.

It really pays off for games like Ghost Squad, as you get higher scores if you turn the on-screen cursor off.

Does the sensor mod help when you sit too close to the TV as well? The way my room is I cant get far enough away from the TV - only about 1.5m at best

oh yeah- you get way more points that way. Play through the training mode to help you get used to the no cursor. Totally worth it.

Best scores to date:

Level 1 best: 196,340

Level 2 best: 120,310

Level 3 best: 226,873

Total Best: 468,983 (submitted to the link from the first post)

Currently Level 18, Second Lieutenant.

So far these are all with the cursor on. I'm going to take the cursor off over the long weekend and see what I can rack up.

Only thing that I don't like is that I seem to get tired before I get to the point where I can get my overall score.
I'm such a wimp.

Oh and it drives me nuts that I can't pass the sniper part and I can't save the President
Must practice!

Break out the dumbells and work those muscles, muppet-arms! :D

I can usually play through the game 2-3 times straight without a problem. Many years of Virtua Cop and Point Blank have trained me well.

The level 2 boss can be tricky. I generally go for the "hold the cursor steady and wait for the bad guy's head to cross it" trick. Works about 4 out of 5 times for me. Also, you need to shoot a touch early as your bullet's travel time matters, and the shot isn't instant.

[edit] Same applies for the sniper levels. Hold the cursor steady and let them walk infront of it. You should be able to pass these levels perfectly every time with a bit of practice.

I always put one foot on my footstool and rest my left hand against my knee. Keeps me from getting arm ache and steadies my aim as well.

The sniper bit in level one frustrates me as well. I did it twice but normally I run out of time. The reload time is so long you dont really get the chance to miss.
