I decided to pick up einhander...I know it's not a great deal, but it's the cheapest i've seen it, and after playing through a level on an emulator i think I can still enjoy it. Totally forgot that it had no 2-player though grrr...

I think einhander is well worth the purchase. its is the only squaresoft shump.

With good reason. I think it's a very average shooter.

I believe it gets more praise than it deserves BECAUSE it was made by Squaresoft.

The graphics were incredible in its day, and they still hold out ok. The ability to steal enemy weaponry is cool. Boss battles are intense and fun. It's not quite the bullet hell game that some other shmups are, but it does get challenging in the later stages. I think Einhander is a great game and I still play my copy from time to time all these years later.
