Awesome.
Now I'm in a dilemma, as I already have the Dreamcast version with a Twin Sticks, and I refuse to pay for Live. On the other hand, I want to support this game so that Sega starts putting out good shit like this again.

By far the best thing that has happened to the 360 since the european release of Senko no Ronde.
Re: Virtual On for 360
So one question has always been paramount to people awaiting this release: how are you going to play it without a Twinstick?

Re: Virtual On for 360
Have any of you honestly tried playing Virtual On Marz, which had a VS. mode and let you use the two analog PS2 controller sticks to control your mech? It sucked and felt like a cheap imitation of the real thing - look at any review of Virtual On Marz and they almost all touch on how the controls were lacking. They didn't release an official twinsticks controller back then for a retail PS2 release and I doubt they will either for an XBox Live download-able title.
Either buy an arcade unit or get the dreamcast version of the game and two REAL twin stick controllers.

Re: Virtual On for 360
Might be coming next week according to http://www.xblarcade.com/node/2180... can't quite tell if this is in japan or global...
Re: Virtual On for 360
The main reason I am not skeptical of a Twinstick release riceeater is that unlike Marz, this VO is a port of the last version released in the arcade. And if it moves like anticipated (Most of the VO fans I know are buying 360s for it), Sega and Microsoft would be quite foolish to not release them. I mean, apart from the Wii, the 360 is the "must have" next gen console for most gamers worldwide. Especially if you like the classic genres usually dominant in Japan - shmups, jrpgs, fighters, etc. So I think it will be like printing money for them. Granted if the botched the port and for some reason it doesnt workout, well then we will all have egg on our face like when we bought Marz.

I'm going to have to pick this up even though I already have the Dreamcast version and a pair of twinsticks. I want to encourage Sega to make a new VO game (one that doesn't suck like Marz).

Man, I'm so far away from my 360 right now. Godamnit. I've got over 4k Microsoft points just sat idle on my 360, waiting for an excuse to use them. This is one such excuse. Can't wait to get home again and crank this baby out.
