Okay, so far the Galaga discussion hasn't been so lively. Here's an awesome article from NY Mag about Alec Baldwin's Galaga addiction...

First post.
Coincidentally I was playing Galaga: demons of death for NES this morning. It was surprising to see Galaga on the together retro page. I must have sacrificed a million quarters to this game when I was a little kid.

I am loving Galaga bigtime. And it's a reminder of how great consoles are. I can't imagine how many quarters I would've already spent on this thing in an arcade.

My in-laws have one of those little tV game devices from Jakks, the one with Mappy, Ms. Pacman, and Galaga, among a few others. Galaga is the only title that gets play. : )

So I finally got around to pulling out my Namco collection PS2 to play some Galaga goodness on my PS3. Unfortunately, I feel like there some lag going on. It's not much, but enough to notice. I've not had any lag issues via HDMI on my TV so maybe it's the PS3 BC? Google turned up a threat at AVS Forum that says there's no BC lag but I dunno.

Anyway, my high score is about 52,000. I suck!

One of my favorite bars nearby has one of those tabletop-style arcade games with Pac-Man and Galaga -- an awesome way to complement a beer. But at home I stick with the awesome TurboGrafx port. And I'm not sure if you've heard yet, but there's an excellent Galaga-style shooter in Retro Game Challenge for the DS. It's called Cosmic Gate, and it's the first challenge you face, so no need to worry about going through the trouble to unlock it.
I run the 8/16-bit retro site TimeWarpGamer and if you want to follow the latest updates, check me out on Twitter.

Galaga is a great game, I should really get a new Namco Museum that has it on there, I have V3, which is awesome because of the explorable museum which is so cool to look through. What other Namco Museum's have a museum you can walk through?

Oh, maybe I'll get the new one for Xbox 360, that one has 34 games.
