How the HELL can you make a Sonic movie if I'm gonna crank out an entire trilogy?

First film: Based on the events leading up to and from Sonic 1, CD and 2, in said order.

Second film: Based on the events of Sonic 3 and S&K

Third film: Set ten years later, with a massive teamup of previous allies and villains to stop a demented Chaos God.

Cast:

* Zac Efron (that sound is me cringing) as Sonic (first two films)
* ??? as Sonic (third film)
* Freddie Highmore as Tails (first two films)
* ??? as Tails (third film)
* Miriam McDonald as Amy (all three)
* Brandon Jay McLaren or Emile Hirsh as Knuckles (last two films)
* Paul Williams as Eggman
* Meagan Good as Rouge (third film)
more cast TBD

Why bother remaking those films when you can adapt more games. Games with a lot of plot. Like Joust. Because you know they are going to make a film about Joust, don't you?

And hell, yes, Joust the Williams' arcade game from 1982.

Super Mario Bros.: The Movie is actually on my top ten list for favorite films. I've probably seen it thirty times.

I think it could have been a decent movie if it had nothing to do with Mario. In a Total Recall-ish kind of way.

The fact that it is named "Super Mario Bros." but differs so much from the source material doesn't bother me at all. Similarly, I am not bothered by the Resident Evil films. RE1 is probably Paul W.S. Anderson's second-best film, though it's not exactly in great company.

I really would love to see Max Payne done right. The first game did a marvelous job of establishing Payne as a very likable character with a healthy dose of craziness. Max Payne 2 brought a little romance in and really surprised me in just how well they built up Mona to the point where I found myself just as invested in her character as I was with Max.

By the way, I can't believe the topic creator didn't like X-Men 2 and the first two Spider-Man movies. They were perfect. You realize too many villains is what RUINED Spider-Man 3. Singer's X2 had some of the best action sequences ever put to film. Everybody remembers the White House scene. The "talking" is what pretty much got that movie so much respect. Otherwise, it would have been a typical action flick were it not for the good dialogue and plot

Me and my friend had a fight over which sucked more the street fighter or super mario bros. movie. He convinced me that Street Fighter sucked more because it had way more plot in which it could have used unlike mario bros. which had little to absolutley nothing in plot.
