Together Retro: Pinball Arcade
Re: Together Retro: Pinball Arcade
Weekend update:
Still enjoying The Getaway. No new scores or goals.
Went back to Theatre of Magic, crushed my old score rather significantly, now over 2 billion there.
Obtained another wizard goal on Champion Pub (win by knockout).

Re: Together Retro: Pinball Arcade
I had family in town and a job this weekend so I did not get to play as much as I wanted, but I am working on the goals on Funhouse (Funhouse Frenzy) and wizard goals on Twilight Zone (Powerball Double Jackpot and Mania Jackpot). I am so close on all three goals.
I think I had a design breakthrough on my pincade design. Sadly Pinball Arcade does not read usb plungers, but I think I can rig a real one up to a hacked up 360 controllers joystick. It is only going to be a 32inch tv but it should end up being light enough to travel with.

Hit an all-time high on Theatre of Magic - 2,183,144,040
I still really enjoy the base package of tables and with focusing on replaying Seasons 1 and 2 on iOS for TR, it's been fun revisiting. I like the iOS controls and given the dimensions of pinball tables and phones, it's nice to the whole table unlike the squished Vita version.
My best hall of fame score on either of the first two tables is 330 on Pinbot.
The only negative with iOS right now is that Champions Pub crashes for me every time I try to play.

Exed, where did you read about f14 coming next? I trust you I am just curious.
I have been really hammering at Funhouse during down time at work recently. Broke 30 million, but still did not trip the trigger for Funhouse Frenzy, despite activating it.

Re: Together Retro: Pinball Arcade
Pinball Arcade Fans forums has a speculation thread that ends with the visual hint Farsight adds in every monthly TPA newsletter that is sent when the new monthly table is released. Starting in this thread for table pack #42, the visual hint was a long math equation, that when calculated, equals 14.fastbilly1 wrote:Exed, where did you read about f14 coming next? The community there is super accurate whenever a table hint comes out. They also use information about upcoming releases from Farsight. For example, the table hint for Roadshow had a picture of a sleeping bull (bulldozer). The hint for Safe Cracker featured a truck that said Bob's Rentals that appears in that game. Last month it was a picture of Steve McQueen in "The Getaway". The only hint the community had a lot of trouble with was the Season 3 premiere of Fish Tales, which Farsight made intentionally hard to try to throw off the speculators.

Re: Together Retro: Pinball Arcade
I thought that is where you saw it, I just could not find the thread. I saw the Steve McQueen for Getaway picture, and while I love Getaway, I was hoping for Banzai Run (which apparently alot of people were hoping for)
Re: Together Retro: Pinball Arcade
On this the final night of TPA, I did a few more things really fast.
- got 2 more wizard goals on Space Shuttle and increased my top score ever so slightly (upon further review, it only credited me with 1 of those goals)
- got a wizard goal on Whirlwind (3 way combo)
So a final look at my TPA tracker.
Those of you who were with us in this thread, please continue to join us in the Video Pinball thread, I'll move my tracker and continue to post new progress there.
This was a very enjoyable month, thank you all!

Re: Together Retro: Pinball Arcade
Quick note - this just went on sale on PSN for Europeans, if there are any here besides me who want to give it a go, albeit a bit late.

Re: Together Retro: Pinball Arcade
Finally got Harem Multiball in TOTAN. Now time to get all the Wizard goals that I have already earned a couple times...Heck I saved the Princess on that run before I got the multiball.
