Re: The Wrestling Thread
You can find Burning Doom over at Comic Collector Live from time to time. I don't remember why he left but he was a good guy.
Why did Vampiro have him break his arm? I didn't understand that. Also, what's up with the lady that was locked up and the weird monster guy? Why are they leaving. Unlike most wrestling shows if you miss an episode of Lucha Underground you're actually missing stuff.
Btw, Johnny Mundo looked messed up and it was great seeing Melina again. I wish I was El Patron at the end though so I could do that to her.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Following up, what do you think of Global Strike Force Wrestling and their partnership with TNA? For those that don't know Jeff Jarrett is sort of back working with TNA despite running GSFW.
On a different note I was at a Savers a few weeks back and found actual legit ROH and New Japan CD's/DVD's someone had turned in. I bought those immediately. The shows were ROH Scramble Madness from November 2002 and New Japan Tokyo Dome from April 1989.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Well, Pentagon Jr. was breaking people's arms as sacrifices to his master. The big reveal last night, for both him and the audience, was that Vampiro was his master. So he told Pentagon Jr. to break his arm. It's a really effed up, master/student, passing the torch kind of thing. Apparently, he wanted Pentagon to destroy him to really show him that he is ready to I guess become what Vampiro once was.
The girl in the cage wanted to kill Cueto's brother (the monster in the cage) for murdering her family. However, Cueto told her that her trainer (again with the master/student theme) was the one who murdered her family because of an Asian gang war between his gang and a rival gang her parents were part of (I think they were Japanese triads). So he raised her and trained her as a final insult to her parents. So that's why she turned on him and killed him. Whether or not Cueto told her the truth remains to be seen. If he lied, then she's basically being corrupted by a lie and turned to the dark side.
I don't know too much about what's going on with GFW other than they've already starting taping episodes. If he's doing something with TNA that's interesting, since everybody seems to be expecting TNA's demise before the end of the year
I hope someone turns BurningDoom on to Lucha Underground
I'd love to get my hands on some ROH/New Japan DVDs. Their in ring products are both really good.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Ultima Lucha was great, and a fitting end to the season. I loved the conclusion of the Pentagon Jr. storyline, and the setup for more Fenix v. Mil Muertes. Looking forward to next season, which I've heard is more a matter of "when" than "if."
Oh, and they killed another guy.

I kind of want to watch Triplemania now, which is on tonight. A lot of Lucha Underground talent will be on the show since they are kind of affiliated with Triple A. It's Triple A's Wrestlemania. If it delivers like Ultima Lucha did...wow. That's a lot of wrestling awesomeness in the span of just 5 days.

Wow, that was a waste of money. Triplemania was awful
Definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone curious about AAA because of Lucha Underground.

Was wondering about that. Card looked somewhat interesting, but I reckon I'll satick to LU.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
It was literally like night and day going from Ultima Lucha to Triplemania. The whole show was a mess. The first few matches weren't great, and there were technical and audio problems plaguing the show, bad camera angles...ugh.Gamerforlife wrote:Wow, that was a waste of money. Triplemania XXIII may be the worst PPV I've ever seen and the LU talent I saw didn't even get to do much.
Someone told me that AAA is like Mexican WWE and Lucha Underground is their NXT. So I guess AAA isn't worth keeping up with. I really hope Lucha underground returns for another season.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Steve Austin did a cool interview with Vampiro, after giving him a shout out on Twitter for the Ciero Miedo match at Ultima Lucha. He was telling all of his listeners to go to youtube and watch that match. He said he's watched it 4 times. Guy's definitely a Lucha Underground fan
