Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Well going off the physical unit shipment numbers I quoted from that recent Nintendo financial report, a whole lot of people have that preference indeed.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I agree that they have a preference, since both are available. I'm saying that if they removed the option that most would shrug their shoulders and go digital.

My optimal setup would be physical and digital. I own physical copies of all my PSP games, but run them all off of the memory stick. The convenience of digital, at least once you've downloaded, is awfully nice, and one still retains physical ownership.
It's also why I'm a big GOG supporter. As others have stated, I can get behind a digital future if it's DRM-free. That's not happening, though.
I suppose a way to defuse some of the arguments against digital is to still have the ability to sell said digital copy on the secondary market. Doesn't Europe have something set up to this effect?

I think it was simply that the EU ruled that secondary sales of digital software (and only software, far as I know) was legal. Services don't necessarily have provisions in place to allow for it.Sarge wrote: I suppose a way to defuse some of the arguments against digital is to still have the ability to sell said digital copy on the secondary market. Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
So I got one of these.

This lets me play games on my Fire TV stick, many of them I already purchased for my Amazon tablet. It's also an alternative to the remote control that you normally have (media buttons are at the bottom)
It's awesome. It looks and feels just like a 360 controller, and now with this I can play games on my TV. It's almost like a modern console. I rarely use wireless controllers and I don't have any of those new fangled systems, so being classic minded it's taking me by surprise, I mean just look now, I can play stuff like this.
What's also nice is it also works with my tablet, so any games that were really bad to play with touch (Blazing Star, R-Type, many others) work well here.
Wow, just wow.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Just got a PS4. What games are worth getting that I may not have heard of?
Bloodborne, Guilty Gear Xrd and Mortal Kombat X are on my hit list.
Also, I have a PC capable of running modern games, so I'd prefer games that aren't on PC unless, like with Mortal Kombat, the PC version is very inferior to the PS4 version.
Obviously, I'd prefer games that play like old games. Because I'm not down with the hip young folk these days.
