Me too. I think the PS4 physical copy was probably always going to happen but it's nice to see them adding some stuff to the lower tiers as opposed to just increasing rewards that cost thousands.

I really wish the capsule toy and lucky hit board pledge tiers allowed the backers to actually design something themselves, though, as opposed to just using the backers' likenesses. Alas.

I am SUPER excited about Min Min. I really hope Suzuki still has her in mind for Shenmue 3.

The rewards are super confusing and some people have reduced their pledges to lower tier ones now, which has hindered the funding growth.

What's done is done though. Nothing that can be done now.

I only made one comment early on about the rewards because I want the game like everyone else and didn't want to appear to be a wet blanket, but honestly the rewards have been screwed up from day one and most of the changes have been confusing to me.

I don't get all the padding of the $1000+ rewards. This just in: 90% of people can't afford these. I understand adding a few more crazy expensive rewards, but only because they had so few to begin with. In a situation where we're trying to pool millions of dollars in one place, they don't seem to understand that another ten grand is still a drop in the bucket.

When they added the phone card to the $80 tier that made sense. Obviously the PS4 physical copy did too. Adding more tchotchkes and little bonuses to the $80-160 tiers should've happened two weeks ago. Should've NEVER had to spend $120 for a freakin capsule toy, or $160 for an MP3 copy of the soundtrack. Blows my mind.

The kickstarter will probably only need to average $55k/day in the last 6 days to reach $5M. Those are very manageable numbers. The funding is also at an $88 per backer average right now, which is $3 more than Bloodstained. The main deficiency is number of backers (currently 52,963 compared to Bloodstained's 64,867) though Bloodstained managed to get roughly 30% of its backers in the last four days. I don't think Awesome Japan has a media blitz like that in store, but we'll see what Shenmue Dojo, et al's campaign for the final day of pledging can do. If Shenmue 3 can manage half the number of backers of Bloodstained in its last four days, it should surpass $5.546M. That's a pretty big "if," though.

So we're bound to hit 5M here before the kickstarter ends. They've been introducing more and more rewards that I don't think anyone has likely backed yet. A fishing pole and a store named after you, that hasn't had any bites yet today...seriously no pun intended. That being said, there's rumors of some other big news in the next few days before the kickstarter concludes, any random guesses or a friendly wager?
