I'm honestly not disappointed. Getting Super Mario 3D World was worth the price of admission. And I've got some other really nice titles to go with it, like Rainbow Curse, Treasure Tracker, NSMB U, Smash, Bayo2, and W101. I'd like a few more games, and they're coming, but I've gotten my money's worth so far.

I can see where others might be disappointed, though. I mean, it's definitely not the Wii, and it's got nothing on the massive libraries on the 360/PS3. For my particular tastes, it's better than the XB1 and PS4 right now. That likely won't last as we start getting out of the remaster business and get some original titles (and as Nintendo starts to pivot towards the NX), but I've definitely owned systems that have done worse.

Hey man I am glad you feel that way. As long as you feel like you're getting your money's worth that's great.

Personally, I've read rumors saying that the Next will have retrocompatibility with Wii U titles (considering the Wii was backwards compatible with the GameCube, and Wii U backwards compatible with the Wii, this is certainly a feasible rumor). I'm glad to hear that, so I can just skip buying the Wii U. There's a few key Wii U titles I'd like after all. The co-op stuff for sure, and of course Xenoblade Chronicles X by all means.

I'm starting to appreciate people that make games and do it well more than usual. I'm stuck on a not too powerful laptop, and some games chug and some run well with no real relation to how old or what the graphics are like. Baldur's Gate EE, runs like total garbage. Paper's Please doesn't run too well either, which an amazing anti-acheivement. Dust works pretty great, which is a total surprise and Valkyria Chronicles also runs mostly fine. (The game play is fine, but cut-scenes pause every so often). The Fall also seems to run ok, but I haven't played it very far.

Take it from me, gaming conventions are great fun. Last year I got to play XCOM, Metal Gear Rising, Mario, Halo 4; all sorts of games. Hope the variety is good for yourself too. There's always plenty of games to buy as well, of course.

And play lots of "retro" stuff from yesteryear. It was a real treat.

A Reddit poster made a comparison between the game libraries of different consoles. Surprised to see that the 360 has more games than the Wii and almost double that of the ps3

Cool. How accurate is that? I'm posting it in the Wii U thread.

It makes sense to me that the 360 has more games than the Wii, considering the Wii missed out on a lot of multiplats, and that the 360 came out a year earlier and is still going. It's gonna be 10 this November, incredible as that seems to me.

PS2 still has the biggest home console library as of now right? They were pushing close to 4k near the end. 3,874 game titles according to wiki.

And PC can play all of those, my peasant friend. :^)

Are the emulators for PS2 that good now? Last I heard they were really hit or miss.
