Has anyone had experience with the Dragon Age roleplaying system? It looks pretty accessible, but I don't have any experience with it. There are so many systems out there now a days that it is hard to keep track. Whatever the case may be, I am ready to do what can be done.
As for schedule, I am very open. My newborn goes to sleep around 9-10PM EST and sometimes a little later depending on her demeanor, but that isn't a deterrent. I have wireless headphones and I can listen in if I need to make a bottle to feed her. Also, the mute button will be my friend to spare you any issues if she acts up. She is the most mellow baby in the world so I don't think it will be a problem, plus my wife works 3 days a week so there will be little problems if it is around the evening. As long as the time is consistent we should be good!
I wish Will Wheaton's campaign setting that he is doing with Tabletop would be available to use. It looks like a fun setting! A nice mix of technology and fantasy that sets itself apart from other games like Shadowrun.
I think as a nice introduction for people we should stick with fantasy, because it has the most variety of systems that are easy to pick up and play, but also to kind of get a good feel of the people playing. If we really work well and want to move on to some different settings, we can later. Plus....Dark Sun.....Dark Sun?....Dark Sun....Shenmue? ....Dark Sun.marurun wrote:Also, what kind of game are people jonesing for? Fantasy? Sci-Fi? Spy? Something else altogether?
I don't mind tone. Although I am a goofball, I am a roleplayer first and foremost and can adjust accordingly. I love roleplaying and having a character. I am not some person who is like, "My guy is super awesome and all powerful and is crazy cool in everything he does!" I like to play it casual. My guy is new to this. He has dreams, hopes aspirations...secrets and he grows as the campaign moves forward. People change and I love to have characters that change as well. I like to work with the GM too, telling them my secrets and giving them material to work with if they want to. I don't like being the star of the show and love giving people time to shine and giving them things to work off of. I am an instigator in a game and love to get reactions from people. I don't push buttons and annoy people, but I definitely bring out participation and most of all...FUN!
