Despite every negative I pointed out before, there are some cool things about the game. Some of the combat additions are neat. You can do environmental attacks now. They're not as cool (i.e. violent) or easy to do as Sleeping Dogs though, but they are there. Dual play you all already know about. And there are some other neat touches like the fact that you now have the option to throw someone when you do a counter. You can counter up to three people too. On the flip side of that though, some of the changes to combat feel weird if you've played previous games. You don't really have takedown moves anymore as they've all been replaced by other things.
Fear takedowns though...are a badass new addition that I really enjoy using.
The storytelling techniques are very good, reminds me of how The Darkness kept using fun tricks to immerse you into its tale or surprise you. I definitely am interested in where the story is going and John Noble KILLS IT as Scarecrow. And there's another great voice actor whose role I won't say, but that character adds SO much enjoyment to this game and is used in really fun ways.
The one thing they did right with the Batmobile is the clever ways it is used in puzzle solving. Plus, it can help you out in combat in some gimmicky, but still fun ways. For example, it can propel you through a window to knock down a guy, as you initiate combat. It can also shoot (i.e.knockout) people you are fighting.
It's just the driving, the chases and the combat stuff that sucks with the Batmobile. There should have been a lock on ability for tank combat as it gets obnoxious trying to hit constantly moving tanks with your cannon while simultaneously having to constantly dodge multiple lines of fire from them. Plus, tank combat just doesn't feel rewarding. There's nothing particularly cool you can do in tank combat compared to all the cool stuff you can do in stealth or melee combat. You just shoot and blow up stuff. Tank combat is just sort of there...even though the developers seem to think it's the coolest thing ever cause they have you doing it so much.

For some reason, my Harley Quinn DLC was not available in game even though I was told that it was installed, so I uninstalled Arkham Knight today and tried re-installing the game. At the current speed in which my PS4 is re-downloading the game, I should be able to play Arkham Knight again...oh, sometime next week

I saw a kid in Target today DEVASTATED because this game was rated M and mom wouldn't let him buy it. Kinda weird seeing "mature" elements tossed into what were always traditionally kid-friendly franchises. We now have M-rated Batman, X-Men, and Lord of the Rings games. Huh.
And the PC release was a disaster, eh? Looks like the publisher is handling it somewhat maturely though.

Did you feel like The Dark Knight should have been kid friendly?

Spider-Man and Superman are kid friendly
Wolverine and Batman are not

I was a bit surprised at the M rating, but understanding the ESRBs reasoning on why some games are a-okay and others aren't is like trying to find a black cat in a dark room when there is no cat.

Despite all the cool additions, something feels "off" about combat to me. I felt this way about Origins too, while Arkham City was the last game where the combat felt smooth.
Shadow of Mordor had a similar combat system, and I kicked ass in that. I don't know what it is that has changed with Origins and Arkham Knight

So Harley apparently has a split personality. While "Harley" is obviously the dominant personality everyone sees, her DLC shows you her and "Harleen" constantly fighting within her mind.
