I know what you mean. I was thinking of making something like that but if I was to I would go all out with a 4-Player Cab with tons of emulation, too bad my handyman skills are lacking.

Yeah, I'd rather build my own MAME cabinet for sure. Why have a 60 in 1 arcade when you can have a 6000 in 1? $950 is a little ridiculous too, I bet building a MAME cabinet would run half of that. More fun to do too.

I do see some good deals on real arcade machines on Omaha's craigslist pretty often. I even have a spot in my basement that would be perfect. I just don't have any way to get them home. Probably for the best anyway, heh.

Are you local? I'd be happy to haul things in my truck if you just pay for gas..... (I've always been good a feeding other people's addictions.)

I built an arcade cabinet. There's no high tech electronics inside, just a regular tv that I can hook any system up too. I've got genesis arcade sticks on it. . .

My arcade cab that I made without the pc cost less than $200 for the wood tools plexiglass and controls.
