Well, Sony has their own headset that's coming out, so possibly not.

The big hook for VR is immersion. With stereo displays, head tracking, etc, it's a lot more than having a big TV right in your face (though that's cool too, for personal display/etc). If you've got an Android phone and haven't tried Cardboard, that's something inexpensive to play with. Some of the demos have the kind of "put on goggles, look around another world" experience.

Jurassic Park on the Sega CD is the best Jurassic Park game ever made.
It was so fun to sequence break that game, or just get through it with the bare minimum. Loved how it always froze and sometimes didn't even work, I say this seriously. It just made my Sega CD experience amusing.[/quote]

My Father lost his marbles when surround sound was available for homes. I guess it was always "around", but was never really marketed or available.

The first time we used "Q Sound" or surround sound was with Jurassic Park on the Sega CD, and I'm fairly certain it set off car alarms near our house. The sound is still stupendous. Same with Sonic CD, Ecco, and even Dracula on the sega CD.

Interview with a guy at Tecmo who worked on Solomon's Key, Fire N Ice, Bomb Jack, Captain Tsubasa, and more.

I don't care how useful it is, I can't stand seeing N64 games with labels on the top. I would rather sift through my games for an hour .

While it still makes my eyes bleed, it's pretty creative how they put a picture of the game instead of just a horrendous white label with black writing, that's what really makes me cringe.

I know I am very, very much in the minority about this, but I actually love it when carts have some indication of their ownership history on them. Rental labels, price stickers, kids' names in Sharpie... within reason, I think it's neat when there's something there that preserves the item's provenance. I like that connection to its past.

When I bought Shenmue 2 for Xbox years ago off eBay, my copy came with a message inscribed in thick sharpie on the user manual. It said something like "To Ben, I love you my sweet boyfriend! Love Jennifer" on it. It made me sad because what if this was a game Ben's girlfriend bought him, and they broke up, so now he sold the game because it reminds him of his ex? I mean if it was actually a gift from his girlfriend why would he sell it otherwise? It was a melancholy moment for me.

I don't want other peoples memories on my games. I clean the stickers and sharpie on them, erase the save files, there's no trace of their existence on those cartridges anymore. The games are mine now.

Seriously, sometimes i think how many owners a used cartridge had when was a rental and wonder "how it survided all those people?!"

Me too, at least in the case of original retail stickers (not resell stickers) and save games. I like to have that proof of the game's history, even if it's with someone else. I only ever delete saves if they're in slot 1, since that's my slot.

Do you feel a bit odd when you load a previous owner's save and start messing around? To me it kind of feels like looking through someone's mail or something.

I'll clean the physical outside of the game, but you're going all out ISIS with this.
