I give up. The PC and Mobile elitists win, I'll quit gaming now.

If you didn't want help, you could have just said that.Forlorn Drifter wrote:I give up. The PC and Mobile elitists win, I'll quit gaming now.

It's more like he just doesn't want to like PC gaming at all.o.pwuaioc wrote:If you didn't want help, you could have just said that.Forlorn Drifter wrote:I give up. The PC and Mobile elitists win, I'll quit gaming now.

it's also really funny to me to think of Ack as a PC Elitist considering he has to play everything on the lowest settings and only has enough HDD space to store one game at a time.
Re: Pachter on why consoles are becoming obsolete
I've played only three games on the PC in the past couple months: Civ 5, Osmos, and some game ancient-themed Risk game.
I've played more console games than that in the past couple of days.

I consider myself an all around gamer. I enjoy playing my consoles, handhelds, PC, and even... mobile games. What's wrong with that? Relax and be a renaissance gamer guys.

Half right. He only has enough hdd space for one or two games, but he has a pretty cherry rig other than that.noiseredux wrote:it's also really funny to me to think of Ack as a PC Elitist considering he has to play everything on the lowest settings and only has enough HDD space to store one game at a time.

Re: Pachter on why consoles are becoming obsolete
Dedicated game consoles are toast. What we have now are inferior PCs that function as media hubs.
Many people buy game consoles these days to do other things besides gaming. One of my former co-workers once went out shopping for a Blu-ray player and ended up buying a PlayStation 3. She has no PS3 games. I also know a guy who has two Wiis and uses them both for Netflix.
The CD-I, Commodore CDTV, and Tandy Video Information System were ahead of the curve. They just happened to exist 20 years too early.
