This is very true. Many of the longtime members have stated that they have thought about it. Believe it or not, I almost quit the site twice, once in 2008 and the other in 2013, and Racket actually thought about shutting it down a couple years ago.

I will fully admit that I am not a great user. I get in moods where I get pissy/petty, I have times when I am forgetful (especially when it comes to selling things), and I abuse commas which can make my posts hard to read. But the userbase here is so laidback that most any problems usually work themselves out given time. Thankfully I no longer take it personally when someone leaves the site, but it will always sting. It is hard to grow a forum in the current internetscape, but aslong as there are people coming, we will keep the lights on.

That said, I was thinking about AppleQueso yesterday, wondering how she is doing.

I must have missed some amazing drama, because I personally haven't seen any thread around here with that kind of volatility going on. Seriously, this is the most relaxed and mature gaming forum I've ever been a member of. It's rare that anyone ever pulls the ad hominem card around here.

Yeah you must have missed the thread. Some threads I read and just know to stay out of. It happens, albeit not often. I just stick to the wiiu board where things are aaaaalllll happy.... roll of the eyes.

These are required viewing:

The first season of this is worth watching also:

You can likely catch all of that on Youtube or other internet streaming sites.

Tomorrow after work, I'm going a weekend-long adventure around central NY with a couple friends and I'm super excited! Planned destinations include The Petrified Creatures Museum of Natural History, The Teepee, Secret Caverns, The Cardiff Giant, and Brewery Ommegang. I've got a Thermos full of Sharkleberry Fin Kool-Aid and an old medium format camera with plenty of film; IT SHOULD BE GOOD!

I have a deep love for weird roadside attractions. And The Petrified Creatures Museum is supposedly for sale...
