I've had the Kaguya Bluray for almost two months now, and I still haven't seen it.

School is getting in the way too much these days.

Though, I will say this; the only Ghibli movie I wasn't too keen on (from the ones I've seen at least) is The Secret World of Arrietty. It was good, don't get me wrong; it just felt like it was pandering more towards kids, compared to other Ghibli movies (where kids enjoyed it, but there was a deep meaning in it, that made teens to adults love it too). Considering the director only directed that movie at Ghibli, makes me think the guy was new to directing.

Duuuuuude. You won't regret it when you watch it. Kaguya is fantastic. I'm not much for award shows, but when Big Hero 6 beat it out for the Best Animated Feature, I was shocked. I liked BH6, too, but Kaguya was on another level.
Final Fantasy IX is the best one

Finished Death Parade. It was an amazing series. Best anime I've seen in quite some time. Yuzuru Tachikawa is now on my radar, his writing and direction is exactly what the anime industry needs more of. Madhouse did a fantastic job on the production as well. I can't recommend this series enough. That last episode! Oh the feels man, the feels.

I even enjoyed the OP of this one:

I'm not big on Anime, but i tried out The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Honestly, i did not like it much. At all. However, i do see why people would like it.

I just don't like the characters, Specifically Haruhi. Kyon is pretty stoic, and (in my opinion) pretty stereotypical. Haruhi is the biggest offender to me. She is very mean, and takes advantage of most other characters, even straight up lying and manipulating people to get her way. Now, that would be fine, and i love other characters in media who are jerks (like George Costanza, from Seinfeld) but the thing is, for a character to be a jerk, they need something bad to happen to them. That way, your not just sitting, and watching some mean chick get her way all of the time.

But, that's my two cents. i don't mean to offend anyone who likes it, I was just saying it wasn't my cup of tea. Next up, I'll be trying "Yona of the Dawn". I am looking forward to it. :D

I probably should have posted about it here instead of the movie thread, but I watched Rurouni Kenshin The Legend Ends. I thought it was slightly weaker than the first two movies, but I still loved it. The final battle was AMAZING. And Sanosuke is a scene stealer, seriously. He comes off better in this movie than I think he did in the anime or manga. The fights are sooo good in this.

Been starting too many series', so I'll talk about them individually real quick;

Sword Art Online II - tbh, I watched this one subbed (well, the first half, at least), but I wanted to watch it Dubbed, since [adult swim]'s Toonami block has been airing the dub. Been catching up on it, and I've changed my mind on the series; it's quite good. Nothing groundbreaking, but definitely a good series to watch, when you need a break from studying exams. lol I also really like this season, over the first one. The first one had a lot of, "This show is ONLY about Kirito", and I feel like this season fixes that issue, by focusing on pretty much everyone else.

Also, Sinon is literally the best character in the series, so there's that too.

Attack on Titan - Also started this, because of Toonami re-airing it. I started it subbed, back in September, but I never got past Episode 2, because of how busy I was.
So far, I love it. It's easily in my Top 10 favorite Anime so far (haven't seen much Anime, tbh, so that's a reason why). My only true issue is that I'm not a big fan of Eren, as a protagonist. He feels....really one-dimensional. Like, to the point where his only personality is, "I'M GONNA KILL ALL THE TITANS". And I get that he's been scarred for life over it, but he literally goes into this tangent so much, to the point where it gets kind of annoying tbh.
It's a fantastic series, don't get me wrong; I just don't like Eren.
(Oh, and I'm only 5 Episodes in)

Cowboy Bebop - A freaking classic. Got to The Ballad of Fallen Angels. Amazing series. Also in my Top 10 favorite Anime list, and will probably forever stay there. I can't think of a single flaw with this series, tbh; and this is coming from someone who can find a flaw in anything.
Just....wow. I've never felt this way about a series before.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica - I've only watched one episode of this one (subbed, but moving to dubbed, since I prefer to watch Anime dubbed these days), and it seems pretty promising. I need to watch more, but I'm digging it so far.

After I get through Bebop and Madoka, I might go for another classic; Trigun. Since I started it a long time ago, and never finished it, for some reason. lol

Bebop is just a great series period, anime or otherwise. I rank it up with classics like Batman the Animated Series, Avatar, Gargoyles, etc. It's probably the first series I'd go to to hook someone on anime

Trigun's nowhere near as great...but still highly entertaining and certainly worth one's time.

It's easy to think that when you've only gone that far in. I was right there with you at that point. Unfortunately the first season does not resolve anything about what the Titans are, or where they are coming, or what ultimately is going to be done about them. I felt like the last half of the season just stretched things on pointlessly intentionally not resolving anything so a sequel would be plausible.

If you've never seen Black Lagoon, I strongly recommend it to you:

Both seasons and the OVAs I linked to are fantastic.[/quote]
