That's nice but we are not talking about GRAW 2 (which lets you save anywhere you want). We are talking about the original Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter developed by GRIN for PC.Pulsar_t wrote:Reinstalling GRAW 2 as I type this. EDIT - Played a bit of that mission to reach the square. Not really hard, not playing at normal difficulty either.
It may be difficult but when you start introducing mods that throws the original developer balance out the window.Try Arma 3 with AI mods, they throw down the gauntlet at you: Grenades, GL's, heck even rocket-propelled bitchslaps.
Operation Flashpoint started a series of games that eventually lead to the ARMA franchise. Yes these are very difficult games, because they are hyper realistic simulations, the complete opposite of Call of Duty style gameplay. Player damage, ballistic models, AI, terrain impediment, wind, etc. is all modeled as accurately as possible to convey a hardcore simulation. But while Operation Flashpoint and its sequels, as well as ARMA and its sequels are difficult, they are entirely fair. If you take your time and play smart, you will survive. Most of the time the battlefields in those games are huge giving the player all kinds of options in their assault tactics. And the friendly AI is actually GOOD. However, GRAW on PC is not fair with its super human enemy AI, super dumb friendly AI, and it's not even remotely an accurate representation of reality in ballistic models or damage simulation. GRAW PC is way harder than ARMA in sheer balancing issues alone. I speak from actual experience.ExedExes wrote:So those 2 games you mentioned -- just as hard as GRAW?
