What single player FPS campaign are you playing?

So there's a game coming out based on a premise I've wanted to see for a long time: WWI Trench Warfare.



The problem is that it's multiplayer only. My current playing habits means that I'm not interested in a multiplayer only game that I have to pay for. Either it needs a good single player (or good enough, like a UT game) or it needs to be F2P and then if I get into it I'll consider spending money.

Completed mission 6 on GRAW!

Once we got the tanks out, things became easy.

So far, I am not liking mission 7. You get dropped right into a firefight. UGH. Must press on.

I've beat Operation Flashpoint and played plenty of ARMA PC also. GRAW PC is way harder. If you've played any version of it other than PC, I can understand your statement though.

So those 2 games you mentioned -- just as hard as GRAW?

I think I'm somewhere between "Hurt me plenty" and "NIGHTMARE!" in terms of id games' difficulty slider scale

Built my new PC Saturday, been playing Shadow Warrior ever since.

Holy crap, this game is the most fun I've had with an FPS since Y2K.

Reinstalling GRAW 2 as I type this.. I want to re-experience its gameplay and compare it to Arma's

EDIT - Played a bit of that mission to reach the square. Not really hard, not playing at normal difficulty either. Try Arma 3 with AI mods, they throw down the gauntlet at you: Grenades, GL's, heck even rocket-propelled bitchslaps. I like my FPS games this way, more realistic than twitch-based. I get slaughtered at Cod

Ended up snagging Republic Commando. From the video footage it looked interesting. Probably won't touch it til I finish Dark Forces and DF2, but the price was too good to pass up.
