OMG! Space Harrier is way harder than I remember!

I recently found a cheap copy of Sega Classics Collection (awesome). Now I had Space Harrier for the Master System when I was like 12. How the fuck did I play this game when I was 12??? Jeez! It's hard. But it is fun.

Sometimes I just wonder how I was so good at some games I haven't played in years. Conversely there was some games I thought were so hard and massive and actually weren't.

Yeah. Actually the version on here is the arcade version, which seams a lot different than the SMS port I remember.

My biggest story with that was when I picked up a copy of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES. Back when I was a kid I would always die in the dam (wow, had to retype that way too many times). One time I managed to beat it, but all I had left was a single turtle at one bar of health. Needless to say I got stomped in the next level. But now when I play it I can completely smoke the dam level.

hmm. I figured it was the arcade version of SH because, well it said "Arcade" in the menu. Haha. Thanks for clearing that up.

I actually havent gotten to Golden Axe yet. But to be honest, the version I rocked as a kid was the SegaCD one, which I believe was a remake, or enhanced version. Right? It might be the same version. Not sure.

Do you mean the one on the "Sega Classics" Sega CD game? I think it is identical to the Genesis version - although it might have better sound. There's an article on Hardcore Gamer about that series as well.

Yes that one. I was under the impression that the 4 games were not just emulated Genesis games. I thought they had improved graffics/sound? No?
